Preetha Nair, PT
Preetha Nair is a Physical Therapist with more than 17 years of experience. She graduated with honors from Dr. MGR Medical University, in India and received her license to practice in California.She was a University Gold Medalist in Exercise Therapy and has a flair for learning different languages.
Over the past 16 years she has worked in various capacities/roles, in a variety of Physical Therapy settings, with people from different cultural backgrounds, different clinical diagnoses and co-morbidities. From a lead Physical Therapist, to managing more than 11 Rehabilitation centers across California, for multiple national Rehabilitation Corporations, she has balanced clinical care and operational goals with patient satisfaction being the key focus.
Her guiding treatment philosophy is,"Quality patient care, delivered with skill and compassion, along with a good understanding of the patient as a whole". Utilizing her extensive knowledge in diagnosing and treating the physical therapy aspects of various medical, orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary and psychosomatic disorders, she implements customized treatment plans for patients with special emphasis on community re-integration and self- reliance.
Armed with a cache of rich and varied experience, and a vision to strive for greater excellence in patient care, she acquired the Tri-City Physical Therapy Clinics in Union City and Fremont, in October 2014.
Preetha Nair is also the founder and Program Director of Tri-City Physical Therapy's Samasta Wellness Program, which is an all encompassing wellness program, where experts in the fields of Physical Therapy, Personal Training, Holistic Nutrition, Iyengar Yoga and Massage Therapy, have come together at one location to serve the community.
This one-of-a-kind program is self-initiated, scientific, holistic, evidence based and goal-oriented. Most importantly it is very affordable and customized for the general population, spanning all age groups from children, youth, adults to older adults.
Dr. Vanessa Rowen, DPT
Vanessa is a Physical Therapist who received her Doctorate from the University of the Pacific in 2011. She received her B.A. in Sports Medicine in 2009. She enjoys working with patients of all age groups. Her special interest is children with various orthopedic and sports injuries. Vanessa takes great pride in mentoring students from other Doctorate programs. She spear heads the clinical program at our Union City clinic. She is a Bay Area native, born and raised in Fremont. Vanessa enjoys all types of dance and reading a good book on the beach.
Isaiah Fernandez, PT, MTC
Isaiah is a Physical Therapist with 16 years of experience. He graduated from Emilio Aguinaldo College in the Philippines. He received his Manual Therapy Certification, awarded by Stanley Paris, from the University of St. Augustine in Florida, in 2007. Isaiah has extensive experience in orthopedic Physical Therapy and has held many leadership positions, leading teams toward clinical excellence. Isaiah is also a Martial Arts teacher and practitioner. He teaches Aikido and practices the martial art with his son. He follows the Golden State Warriors fervently and loves to read fantasy/science fiction books.
Hazel Aguirre, PTA
Hazel is a Physical Therapist Assistant. She received her Bachelor of Physical Therapy from Emilio Aguinaldo College, in the Philippines, and challenged the Physical Therapist Assistant Boards in California. She has a special interest in the treatment of a wide range of orthopedic conditions and sports injuries. She has a focused treatment approach that incorporates Manual Therapy techniques and Therapeutic Exercises to achieve functional goals with everyday activities. She has been a highly regarded Clinical Instructor for Physical Therapist Assistant students from programs around the Bay Area. Hazel loves outdoor activities and has a passion for running marathons, hiking and volleyball.
Michael Vison, PTA
Michael is a Physical Therapists Assistant who graduated from the prestigious Ohlone College PTA program. He received his Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Cal State University, East Bay in 2011. Michael's goal is to continue to sharpen his Manual Therapy skills and increase his cache of Therapeutic exercises. He is a sports fanatic who closely follows his Golden State Warriors and San Francisco 49ers. Michael enjoys playing various sports, traveling, eating and looking for opportunities to try new foods. His patients are always delighted by his sweet smile and quick wit.
Dr. Shobhana Gopalakrishnan, DPT
Shobhana is a Physical Therapist who received her Doctorate from Washington
University in St. Louis in 2015. She has had clinical experiences in various
parts of the country, with a focus in orthopedic and neurological diagnoses. Shobhana is a professional dancer, and performs at various prestigious venues across the country. Because of her training in both Physical Therapy and traditional dance, she is very much in tune with body mechanics and the fluidity of motion of the human body. Shobhana is very passionate about her patients and her goal is to provide quality patient-centered care, with an emphasis on education and body mechanics. Her special interest includes neuro-science and athletes including dancers. Shobhana enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, exploring the Bay Area, having outdoor adventures, volunteering with various organizations and dancing.
Scott Dorrance, PTA
Scott is a Physical Therapist Assistant who graduated from the esteemed PTA program in Ohlone College. He has a special interest in Manual Therapy and is very keen on collaborating with Physical Therapists to focus on functional goals for patients to improve their quality of life and daily activities. He has lived in the Bay Area for most of his adult life. His other interests are wine making and Terra farming landscapes and he does work in these fields in the Napa Valley and in South Africa. His patients always appreciate his easy going manner and sense of humor!
Kinjal Nirmal, MSPT
Kinjal is a Physical therapist who completed her undergraduate in Physical Therapy from India, and received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the renowned MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. Kinjal brings a lot of clinical experience from working with patients of all ages, both in India and in the US. Her special interest is in orthopedics and she is very skilled in exercise and manual therapy techniques. She takes great pride in educating her patients regarding their medical conditions, with the goal of enabling them to achieve their highest level of functional independence and best quality of life. She enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends and listening to music.
